It's an online school thatt caters to vets obviously. Thinking about getting a degree but don't have the time to go the traditional route.

Your question is a good reason to suspect that their degrees aren't likely worth much.

There are reputable state universities that offer full online programs and benefits for Vets. Arizona State, Oregon State, University of Louisville, etc. Do not waste your time and money at AMU

Unless the benefits are too good to pass up, I would go to a regular college and just do one of their online programs. When you finish, your degree will be from the University of Wisconsin and will have no indication of it being online.

Just used that school as an example

Good enough for Officers just looking to check the box on having a Master's Degree, but if you're looking for a reputable degree for a civilian resume you need to keep looking.

I got my A.S. From there about a year ago while on active duty in-between deployments because of the flexibility. I kind of regretted going there, but I just wanted the credits to transfer as a junior into a 4 year institution.

I got accepted into San Diego State and all my credits transferred over (besides the intro to online college course). As a standalone degree, not the best. It is regionally accredited though, so as a stepping stone, works like a charm.

(Also if you are going for an A.S. in computer applications, send me a message. I have the majority of the curriculum/work saved on a hard drive).

Oh forgot to mention, if I could do it again I'd do Penn State online (assuming the credits are affordable under Tuition Assistance rules).

I applied and enrolled, but never ended up taking any classes. It's expensive. I think it was trying to be the Phoenix for the military. It's affiliated with or under APU, which was trying to position itself as the Phoenix of Fedgov.

It actually has some credibility with all the military students it has. It also has a deal with Walmart for their workers. Like a lot of things, you probably get out of it what you put in to it. For your situation, it would be the best "online only" option, but I echo the other suggestions to find a respected brick and mortar university with accredited online programs. There are many out there who want the veteran/GI Bill business and will take the transfer credits. I'm going to get around to getting an online masters at some point. Someone has a deal to take CGSOC credits and for about 18 credits with them yields 2 Masters - 1 in military studies or strategy and an MBA, for example. And it is a recognizable name, I just can't recall it right now because I was looking at 3 or 4 of them while waiting for my transcripts.
