Absolutely. However, I find that the majority of them will almost always side with the black perp regardless of the facts.

Look how many "educated" and working blacks automatically assume Trayvon was a good boy and didn't attack Zimmerman and that Michael Brown had his hands up. They automatically take their side.

"we"? I don't believe you, or your grandparents, or your parents endured slavery.

The Irish, Polish etc. were in ghettos and making livings, blacks were in the field as slaves being beat, tortured, lynched raped and striped of of their culture.

Slavery is abhorrent, but I'd argue that some slaves were treated extremely well by their owners. Not that it excuses slavery, but it is historical fact that a large amount of slaves fared better under slavery then released. Again, it is terrible, but at some point are we gonna fricking move past it? In 2015 it has absolutely nothing to do with the black community's struggles today.

quote:

White people will forever act as if there is no blood on their hands. They killed off the Native Americans and oppressed the black, but its a matter of personal responsibility as to why blacks are doing bad. Never mind the fact whites have made it their lives a living hell since they stepped foot in America.

I had nothing to do with either of those atrocities. Should I make my life worse and kiss your arse because of shite that happened that I had no control over? Are we supposed to give everything to you? What would make it right? However, these things have happened by all fricking races throughout all times. See the Mongols and the entire fricking sub-saharan African continent fighting each other so much they've failed to contribute anything to the modern world.

Does anyone believe this crap?
Do you?

Are you telling me that if a slave wanted to take a walk, say a mile away from their home, the good natured owners would just allow it?

They wouldn't be beaten or killed?
Because they were treated well?

I wish everyone regardless of race/skin color had this attitude.

I condemn the thugs like Michael Brown and whoever shot those police officers just as much as I condemn a white cirminal like Jeffrey Dahmer.

So you believe, despite historical accounts, that ALL masters beat their slaves or killed their slaves? Sure, there were more than a few frickheads, but that sure is painting with a broad brush.

They weren't free, but it is FACT that some ate and had better well being in slavery than freedom. Now, you could argue that's because they were institutionalized or whatever, but it's still fact. Like I said...it doesn't excuse the horrible act of slavery. What I don't get is why people think it is exclusive to white people. You do realize they were slaves in Africa at the point of sale, right? Hell, one could argue their descendants now have a better life because of it. Again, just so you don't go off the deep end, I"m not approving of slavery, just pointing out the facts.

So you are saying the majority of slave owners would have no problems with a slave leaving?

I did too, but I tried to take it back. Wouldn't want to give anyone the impression that there's any hope here.
