Easy. The couple had met a party and hit it off pretty well but left without exchaning tel numbers or contact info. .
Several months transpired and he used the tool to track her down and send a message. He did not get her last name, only remembered her graduating school and company she worked for.
They are several months into a relationship now.

I had some inside info which lead me to believe there was possible freakish nature. I reached out on linkedin as my only in, and it worked.

Finding a hook up is probably the most use you can get out of it. Headhunters and competitors are most of my activity. Then I got people I don't really know endorsing me all the time.
