Has anyone here bought anything using the Verizon smart rewards?

I know it's just a marketing ploy to get you to buy shite that you probably wouldn't have otherwise, but I'm wondering if the products/deals are even legit. Verizon offers you imaginary points (they have no official value, but looking at the merchandise, I guess every 100 points=$1) and then shows you discounts on name brand products using these points.

I used it for a restaurant coupon. Just didn't notice the expiration date until too late - had like two days to use it. But the deal would have been good.

Those coupons are only like $5 off. Not even worth it, imo. And I knew there'd be a catch. Only two days to use the coupon is shitty.

They didn't tell me about that program until I canceled my service.
