Has anyone ever restored an old leather jacket that was faded and cracked?

Thanks! It will be 20 years old next month. It also sat in 4 ft of water for 3 days last August. I cleaned it and brought it to the dry cleaners. I don't want to screw it up, but I wouldn't mind recoloring the faded parts.
