I'm my uncle's favored nephew, and I have been asked on a few occasions if I was his son (the similarity is striking), and so long as he dies after his wife, I'm hoping to get the full estate since he has no kids. Granted, I'm hoping it's still a good 30+ years off, but he's the only relative of mine I think I could count on getting an inheritance from (aside from my parents and grandparents, which I got a small amount from the later).

A long time ago from an Uncle I had forgot about and when they did his estate I got a Check in the Mail for $50+ dollars. I had to call the Lawyer to make sure it was legit and it was and I used it to buy an Attic Ventilator from Sears which at the time was a pretty good unit for that money. Sears installed it free. When I sold the house it was still working good.
