Has anyone ever been to a dancing saloon?

Today is my roommates GF's birthday and of course she wants to get a group together to go out. When they invited me the venue was described as a country music bar. I like country music well enough so I accept, thinking this would be similar to the Texas club. Grant it I am more of a freds/bogies guy but what the hell I didn't want to hurt her feelings. After further analysis of the situation I feel that I have been decieved and roped into something way more serious, this place can only be described as a full blown dancing saloon. Below is a passage from their website in a section titled "dance floor etiquette and policies"
Has anyone ever been to a place like this? I feel like it's too late for me to back out now, but I was clearly misled when I was told what the plans were.
quote:
Dance Floor Etiquette And Policies We are a Country Music Dance Venue, therefore we feature country western style dancing such as Two Stepping, West Coast Swing, and Line Dancing. The Ranch Saloon has a managed dance floor. Provocative and out of control dancing is not condoned and you may be asked to leave the dance floor. Freestyle dancing is only allowed when called by the DJ or the Band! The dance floor moves in a counter clockwise direction for Two Stepping. Fast and experienced dancers on the outside of the floor, slow and beginners dancers to the inside center of the floor. The DJ or Band “calls” every dance to maintain dance floor flow and safety. Drinks of any nature are not allowed on the dance floor. This includes drinking across the rail. There is no standing on the dance floor, as it impedes the flow of dancing. For the Safety of all of our patrons, dance lifts by experienced dancers must be cleared by management or the DJ.

Don't back out. Be a good sport about it.
Your friend will probably look great dressed in her best "country girl" outfit and hopefully there will be available single ladies similarly dressed.
Act like a "Babe in the woods" and the girls will fawn over you as they try to teach you. Have a great attitude and it will be a fun time

THIS
For some reason, dressing up in a cowgirl outfit seems to wind girls up. You are in for a great night as long as you smile and dance a little.

Solid advice, has this strategy worked for you in the past?

When you get in a dance battle, and before you get served, you look them straight in the eye and give them this.

should be some good looking chicks and cold beer.
what else you need.
2 steppin is easy.
fast fast
slow slow
repeat.
watch a youtube video and you will have the country girls in no time.

That's my issue I have no clue how to do any of the dances mentioned above, I know I'm going to get convinced to dance and make a fool out of myself. I guess it's nothing a few shots can't fix

My go to at dance saloons is to just spin a bitch around as much as possible. She'll get dizzy and give up first.

It is very easy. Stay in the middle of the dance floor. The more experienced dancers will take the outside.
Just hold on to her. Chicks generally know what they are doing. Watch others and learn.
If an old woman asks you to dance, GO! She will teach you. that's how I learned as a kid. Old women love to teach a young buck to dance.
If you are that worried, watch a few youtube videos.

Back out? Just look up two stepping on Youtube and go have fun. It's not complicated. Wear boots and jeans if that wasn't already obvious.

Country dance halls are fun as hell. You'll have a great time. Wear some boots and a hat and don't take shite too seriously.

Seriously. Just wear your nicest target dark wash jeans and some steel toes and you'll be fine.

Should I go get a cowboy hat? I don't want to over do it. Like the guy who dresses like a PGA golfer and shoots 130s

For sure. Get some Ariat boots while you're at it. Tennis/Casual shoes are frowned upon.
