Has anyone crossed the border in Nuevo Laredo lately?

It's been a few years but I'll be down there hunting in a couple weeks and there's a few things I'd like to take care of across the border. Just curious if anyone has been and if the drug cartel crap is media hype or legit.

If they find out that you're THE yellowfin they will hold you for ransom and sodomise you every night in the meantime.

I understand the fun that can be had there b/c we used to go dove hunting with a big group from Eunice, but I just don't think it is worth the risk anymore. I have a wife and kids now (i was single when we used to go over there) and I can't go back in good conscience.

Aren't you really short though? You could probably put your size 7 boots inside his 13's and walk out with both pairs.

Heads up. Customs will seize your shiny new boots with the quickness and you will be out your money.

Buddy just got back from a legit, licensed Africa hunt and (although all game was legal to take there) Customs wouldn't allow the importation of his trophies and kept them all. Thousands to lawyers did no good.

This is probably a topic for another thread but I HIGHLY doubt you have all of the story. Customs isn't going to keep African game taken legally. Not a fricking chance. Your buddy isn't telling you the whole story.
