Fox News - Guy Cooks For Those Displaced

quote:

Food Network star Guy Fieri teamed up with the Salvation Army on Thursday and went to wildfire-ravaged Santa Rosa, Calif., to cook for thousands of people who evacuated their homes.

If you don't like Guy Fieri, you are not a true American.

I've never minded Guy Fieri. Then I saw him on "Hot Ones" and I decided I liked him. I can appreciate his lack of pretentiousness, unlike Bourdain.

That's like throwing a shower for a couple that lost their home in a hurricane.

Guy is a boss though. That video of him hanging with the dudes that snuck into the Superbowl is proof.

Guy looks like a douche, but I bet hanging with him is pretty fun. Props to him for taking car of some people going through a bad time.

I think serving ice cream would've been more appropriate.

Damnit. I laughed.

Good on him though.

He’s from the area, had some restaurants up there.

I don’t know that this adds anything, but my wife has told me that no less than 6 times since we’ve moved out here

A friend of mine is a creative director at an Austin ad agency, and did a shoot one time with a celebrity chef. She asked him which other celebrity chef was the biggest a-hole. Said without hesitation "Guy Fieri".

That being said, we still watch Diners, Drive ins, and Dives.

Not sure why GF gets busted on so much. On his show D,D & D he does a good job of showcasing the local chefs. You can tell he genuinely enjoys letting them have their moment.

His New York Times Review

I like the show even if he at least acts like a douche but what the hell. This is always a good read about his Times Square restaurant.

The whole spiked wristbands and flames on his shirts style is obnoxious.
