That would prolly be the nicest trailer park in the history of your state. Admit it!

It's a helluva lot of work put into building your own place. Honestly, I think that if I'm going to do that much I'd do the full home build instead, but kudos to him for a fine piece of work.

Cargo containers are huge in the architectural world right now. That looks pretty crappy. But you can do some cool stuff with them.

You can pick them up for way less than that. You could buy two or three for 5k. The advantage is that they are a lot tougher and much more secure than a built wood structure.

Until you start cutting holes in them. Then the structural dynamics change.

re: Guy Builds Lodge/Camp from Cargo Containers
I have this exact armoire sans the shitty restoration job...

I hope he got it cheap because the mirror on the right door was added, the knobs are no longer wooden and the stain job is for shite.

Mine still has the original packing slip on the back of it from when it was shipped from Chicago to my great-grandparents in Pennsylvania in 1889.

ETA:

The whole structure and decor in general is pretty cool, though. I'm sure he and his guests enjoy the hell out of it.

There are shipping containers for sale all the time here for like $1200-$1500 a pop

Used and damaged shipping containers go for that much (from what I have seen here in NOLA). Pretty much anything this price would require repair to make it weathertight and new coatting.
