It'll still be crowded but probably not as bad as now. It's horrible currently.

Gotcha.

I don't recall the cops being a consideration on my spring breaks. And I don't remember any rapes happening while we were on SB. But that's not to say there weren't incidents. I just wasn't aware of them I guess.

We were to busy partying and having fun in Ft. Walton I reckon.

ETA for clarity

I would guess that most rapists don't consider the cops when they rape. But now that this has been turned over to the authorities, the cops will consider you.

We've been coming here for 10 years and have a home here. It's gradually started going downhill the last few years. You can't even get into Seaside now because the traffic is a mile long and all the restaurants have hour long waits

You should have seen it 25 years ago.

Not sure what you mean. Or maybe I didn't say that right.

I don't recall cops being jerks. More like zookeepers tending to the animals. And I don't remember students throwing footballs or whatever at the cops. Harassing them.

It all just worked. No behavior that led to city ordinances to shut the party down. No rapes on the beach that I heard of. Maybe I was just naive.

We partied on the beach and in the clubs for a week then went back to campus life.

ETA: re-read and used better sentance structure.

There were other ways to do this. My wife and I are 29 and just bought a studio in Orange Beach as a vacation home so in theory if this spread this would stop me from having a beer sitting in a chair as a property owner. Stupid.

IMO this is what you have public intoxication/underage drinking laws for. If someone is causing problems...nail their arse but don't hammer people causing now issues.

I can see it now some Barney Fife arrest a 70 year old propert owner having a glass of wine on the beach.

I'm all for Spring Break, I just think if they want to stop something they should use current laws on the books that target the people they have problems with and don't make blanket policies that reach to everyone.

That said, over here in OBA I just cracked open my first one haha
