Fox News actually interrupted Iowa caucus coverage this morning to cut to Punxsutawney, PA.
Karl Rove said something about being up until 12:30am and having to get up at 4:30am to be on Fox&Friends only to be bumped by Groundhog Day.

Less winter.
The legend goes that seeing his shadow causes him to scare and retreat back to his den, implying more hibernation, which indicates more cold weather is coming. Not seeing it means he stays out of his den, ending hibernation, indicating winter is almost over.
