Green Zones Within French Quarter

Some people I know are going to New Orleans later this year and are staying at the Omni Royal in the French quarter. Can y’all give me some streets/areas to tell them to stay away from to not 100% get murdered? I haven’t been in the French quarter in years so have no idea and know they’ll ask me even though I’m nowhere near New Orleans. They already know that the chance they are murdered is > 90%

offer to buy a life insurance policy on them and split the payout with family
easy money, and the family thinks you're a hero
bonus sex with the widow

Stay riverside of Bourbon and they will be fine. Stick with Royal and Chartres.

Don’t be a Karen. Just use common sense

So long as they aren't isolated with young men of colour between the hours of 12AM and 4AM they should be fine.

Stay between Conti & Toulouse East to West and Bourbon & Decatur North to South. Otherwise probability of a close encounter of the criminal kind increases exponentially. Uber is their friend if they need to go anywhere else.

How does this work? You can cross over a street while just wondering around and be in a place you don’t want to be. I’m not sure how common sense is supposed to work for someone who has never been to New Orleans

Simple - Don't wander off from the tourist crowds. If you go down a dimly lit street with no one on it, expect to become a target.
