There are a lot of options out there. Slyfa (suburbs) lyf (inner city) tri-parish (West Bank).....

Pros/cons? Tia

I don't know much about those leagues, but I live in Iberville parish and there is a team called "the renegades". If I had a kid old enough playing youth ball, I would rather them play for "the renegades" than for any middle school in the area. They play teams from BR, but that's all I really know.

We have only done SLYFA and we loved it.My son doesn't play for SLYFA anymore though.

Bob passed away a few years back and Randy could not keep it going... Closest thing to it is All-Star kids, the kids like it but in reality it is just a big money grab as anything else. The last year we did it, there were not enough stations/coaches to the point where some kids were just moving from line to line at the whistle never actually getting to do the drills... then the "games" are a mess, they have zero interest in instructing on penalties, the off linemen just hold/tackle the defense making the whole thing pointless

that's a shame

my first tackle league was Bob Morgan because football didn't start in CSAL until 5th grade. It was pretty well run back then, Bob was one scary son of a bitch though
