I have no idea where to start? Local person? Online? If I order online it appears to be much cheaper. But then who installs it?

W in T actual F?
ETA: Try Costco. You might have to buy a 5 pack but the savings are worth it.

Start by calling cemeteries and funeral homes. Pretty sure the folks at the cemetery install the base and the headstone.

Are you asking for someone to lay a piece of stone on the ground? I'll do it for tree fiddy.

We own a family monument business with 6 locations..trust me when I say that I have seen many families order online and get ripped off. This is something that has to last forever and should tell a story. The last thing you buy for someone..cheaper is not always better especially in this case. Trust me.

Exactly. Most monument dealers should include lettering, design and install in their price. If someone buys online - we charge by the pound to cover our liability.

Sears used to sell them in their old catalogs. Truth.

Where is locally? You might get better recommendations from the OT if people knew where you were.

Who crafts it/installs it is usually the cemetery. Do you have any idea how costly it would be to ship a hunk of cement?

It's done every day. You have no experience with this do you?

Is this an actual headstone or a cast bronze plate mounted to concrete?
