Seemed like it had been too long since we had a thread about gout. These threads about gout are like the gout of the OT. They flare up regularly and without any reason. Too bad there is not a medicine for all these gout threads like a search feature. Would be like the allipurinol this board needs. Too bad. Gout anyone?

Of course the latest thread flare up seems to be monumental--or at least monumentally overblown (the don't take them down threads [monuments] of course)

End of extended metaphor.

I'm aware. My point was that there is one every week. Not that I actually cared about gout. Meant to post this on the literary devices board. My bad.

Dude there was one yesterday.

That being said I get the gout once a year. Usually when I'm eating meat like a savage and drinking a ton. Usually in the fall. Probably due to les miles.

Definitely go see a doctor and get some injection or pills or something heavy. Works for me!

Diet might not necessarily be the cause. I'm seeing a gout specialist and it could be hereditary, diet and number of things. Shell fish, beans etc. I'm taking Colcrys once daily

Good god, red meat is exactly what you should be eating. Gout is related to the inflammation and crystallization build up. Red meat does NOT cause that. This is a huge misconception. Quit eating fast and junk food.

You need to add another word to your title or it will likely get deleted.
