b&b - I bought a new M&P 9c the other day. You have to bow up to rack the slide back far enough to lock it open. They must be using the same recoil spring in the compacts that they use in the full-size.

I don't have any experience with HKs. They're supposed to be excellent equipment. My personal fave is Sig.

I'm going to get rid of it. The slide is a mother fricker. I bought it to carry and I don't do that.

The way I "carry" the gun is:

I wake up at 4am and put it on the kitchen table. I go to work and have it by my side. I get home and it's in same place until I go to bed. Every day

While 7+1 is great.

I'd love a 15+1 with a longer barrel

I might get rid of mine, too. I bought it for a truck gun thinking it would be a softer blow if it were stolen as opposed to having one of my Sigs stolen. The Shield is quite inferior to the Sigs.

Need a vacation.
