Agreed. My dad lived in BR for 68 years. It's all he knows. He would have been very content to live the rest of his life there. I think once they find a place it will get better for him. He will finally be able to better see the positives and silver linings of this move. I mean...I'm gonna see them on Christmas. I haven't been able to see them on actual Christmas day since I left LA in 2005(always had to work part of Christmas and couldn't travel back).

This new job...I will be off all major holidays as well. Will be working M-F 8 hour shifts.

I think he's suffering from some PTSD type stuff from the flood. He's naturally a very anxious person. He already found a new doctor here, I will hopefully go with him his first appt and raise my concerns to his new doctor.
