I'm still wondering that, and I haven't ridden horses so it seems like a legit question to me.
Riding a huge animal over jumps...yeah that says to me there could be pain involved.

I mean they make saddles for a reason...and stirrups too I guess to balance/distribute your weight between those points...I understand that from racing road bikes...

unlike your interest in horses, i see no good reason to ever ride a fricking horse. i prefer motorized vehicles.
