I just got a set and tried them out after work yesterday. I didn't read how to use them, so I had a couple of holes learning curve (very intuitive), but I think they are a great tool.

Did you have hurricane force winds at your back?

No wind, but it was an elevated tee box.

Rbz Stage 2. It was just one of those pured shots, right swing and right hole. It went further than my longest drive of the day.

Anyway, the 3 wood was just chum in the water for this thread. ..check out the golf tags. Pretty cool, easy and cheap.

Before you order them, make sure they work with your phone.

They work via NFC. Unfortunately for iPhone user, apple locks down its nfc and it doesn't work with 3rd party apps right now.

very similar, but works with your smart phone instead of a seperate device. Gives you real time feedback as well.

Eta: looks like game golf has tags as well that work with phone. I haven't tried game, so the may be the exact same.

I got the game golf version of this for my dad for father's day. He says they work great. not having the belt clip seems like it would be better. Might get these ones for myself.

I have game golf

I prefer the belt clip. I hate having my phone in my pocket to play and I don't have to worry about golf running down my phones battery

Not that it really matters to any of us, but being able to get real time feedback may have some USGA rule implications

Game golf is usga approved

There is an option to disable the real time so it is usga compliant if that is a concern.

On my phone, using the GPS app frequently and the tags seemed to run it down about 25% over 9 holes.
