Looking to get a new driver. Have my eye on the new TaylorMade M2. Anyone have any recent experiences with purchasing new clubs around the New Orleans area?

Honestly eBay. Can normally get them for 100 bucks off. That's what I've done for my last like 3 drivers. Never had an issue

How serious of a golfer are you? Just as important as the driver head is the shaft. You need one that fits you best. I recommend going somewhere locally to get fitted to your specs (swing speed, angle, etc.). Once you have been fitted with the driver u like with the proper shaft, then go online and see if you can find that combo. That's what I did with my irons. I was able to find a set online that exactly matched what I was fitted for. I'll be doing the same thing soon when I buy a new driver.

Do not buy one online.

Get fitted by a professional fitter in your area.

I used to play a lot more than I do now, but would still like to get set up correctly. I would like to get the new driver fitted even though non fitted clubs have worked fine for me in the past.

Where did you go to get fitted?

You need to find a club maker/club builder in your area that has his own shop.

The association of professional club fitters website has a search function that shows its members in each of their respective states.
