Company contacted my mom a few days ago. It's 16 acres total. We know nothing about this stuff. Just looking for info. Tia.

Definitely doesn't depend on where the land is located.

I did some exploratory drilling on your mom once.

Do some research as best you can
Be sure of mineral rights
The best I can say is you should get paid for the land on the surface (to make the site), the land used to make a road to get to the site, and a percent of what is pulled out
When I was in the field in 2012, we did a land job in Carthage, TX
The owner of the land was set to make $50,000 a day by the projections of what they were supposed to pull out of the ground

Probably about $20/ac for your area, or $47 million/ac for Central Park

Without any relevant information, I'll guess $150/acre.

Completely depends on where it is.

The guy in question had a lot more than 16 acres. This I can tell you.

You got it while the getting was good.

Slightly under what your neighbor is willing to lease for.
