Uncle Skillz... wth you doing in here this morning. You should be at that church house saying some Hail Marys for your nephews weekend sins.

Go put your nice jeans on and comb your hair you Neanderthal.

I need to workout sometime today. Need to get a jump on next week's schoolwork first though.

Between my new work schedule, this last class for school, and helping my dad get all their stuff finalized for the place they are getting....the next few weeks are gonna be intense. I'm ready for it to just skip to February tbh.

Well they had found one mobile home and had signed purchase agreements,etc.....and the seller backs out.

We found another place(this one actually a better fit for them) but now we have hit snags with their loan. They were preapproved with a finance company...this home is owned by the park itself and they also use the same finance company(but a different location)....but are trying to say they can only approve a shorter term and higher interest rate...which would of course make the payments too much for my dad. So we know they are getting the place and all...just basically have the finance company fighting themselves to determine how exactly the loan will be set up(set up with the park or park considers it a cash sale and we use our original loan underwriter). So just waiting for that to get sorted out so we will know when the closing date is and can start making arrangements for the move.

Honestly I'm hoping it will be in Feb...much easier to help them move when I'm finally done with school. Supposedly because it's owned by the park itself...it would only take like a week to close once paperwork officially started.

keep pushing along. The pay off will feel great.

How is your mother's wrist?

And I bet the place your dad sound is probably better than the place that fell through a couple weeks back... crazy how that shite seems to happen.

She got a smaller cast placed last week. Will wear that one for 3 weeks and then hopefully just need a brace. She seems to be doing ok. Dr said once she is in a brace my mom can likely start knitting/crocheting again(my mom's favorite hobby). Said knitting is actually a great form of physical therapy for her hand/wrist. We are still waiting to see if she was approved for AHCCCS here(Medicaid in AZ) and if she is....it might retroactively reimburse my dad for the two visits he has already paid out of pocket for.

The place they found is a little smaller than their original house and the one that fell through...but in much better shape. It was owned by the park and used as a rental, so it was very well maintained. All appliances only a few years old, brand new carpet, etc. Manager of this park is super nice and very understanding of my family's situation. We showed her the results of the home inspection and she said the park would gladly fix many of the major things before they moved in (water heater has a leak).

bam, I was spot on

i really don't know much about manufactured homes, but are they really THAT much cheaper than an older, maybe fixed upper, starter home?

All I've ever heard was trailers were almost a small bad a depreciating asset as a dodge car. Seems like that would make financing a bit more tight on a trailer and make a house that even appraises for a tad bit more, much more attainable..?

Also with your parents age and fact you have two siblings unable to leave from under their roof, common sense tells me that their would be some sort of subsides available somewhere if one was to look.

Maybe Dr Ben Carson will step in day one at HUD and start helping real Americans that actually need help that are at least trying to help themselves instead of pandering to the 100% handout crowd.
