Couple of crappie. Spent most of my time teaching my daughter how to cast her new rod and reel though which is way more fun than catching anything.

ETA: First words out of her mouth this morning, "Daddy, when are we going fishing today".

Don't even bother unless you get good tickets.

Don't do general admission and DON'T do the infield. You've been to Mardi gras. Same thing except a ton of mud if it rains and you can't even see the horses.

It may be better to try next year and actually plan. Hotels are probably booked solid too.

You're killing me here, chicken. I'm waiting for life insurance labs, and I can't eat until the nurse gets here...at 10.

Now that goldennugget has moved to your city and seems to need a life mentor, you should take up the project. Before Owlie gets ahold of him.

You can get them the year before when they go on sale fairly cheap.

I've been given mine every time I've gone so I'm not sure how expensive. Any seats are probably pretty good now that they have the giant screen.

It's just crowded af and you will want a seat to be able to go back to. Just DONT do the infield

Not worth the drive unless you are with a bunch of drunk guys.

I went to the Preakness a few years ago, and I agree. Only worth for good seats. I was relegated to shitty seats, and it poured for most of the day. Betting lines also sucked.

I still need to hit up the Preakness and the Belmont.

Oaklawn and del mar are also on my bucket list. Ned to go back and actually enjoy Saratoga instead of get worked to death...

Last time I went our seats were covered. I was thankful for that on oaks day when a severe storm rolled up and they had to evacuate the infield.

On derby day I bet a few races ahead because those lines do suck.

I flew up to NYC for the third leg of the crown once back in the day to place some big bets for a local lawyer that was wanted for tax evasion. Cool trip.

Don't ask me how I know, but if you do plan on attending the Derby do not throw LSD into the mix.

I'll keep that in mind next time.

Though I think next year I'm going to try to go to the breeders cup at Churchill.

I've always wanted to go to the Belmont Stakes, but timing has never worked out.
