My church has worship music for the first 15-20 minutes. I like it

Depending on what service you go to is the type of music. Early am service is a full choir and symphony orchestra playing. Second am service is a mix of contemporary and classic (band and orchestra with choir). Saturday evening services are a band playing more mainstream Christian music(think anything you hear on KLove or Air One). However...we don't have people falling out in the aisles or speaking in tongues or any of that crazy stuff. People act very calm and normal.

Is he plasti-dipped, by chance?

We used to read Three Little Cajun Pigs to our kids back in the day. It didn't end as it should have though. Should have involved a Cajun Microwave.

You sound like a boring and overbearing aunt. Just give the kid candy and stupid toys that will clutter up the entire house and stub everyone's toes like aunts are supposed to do

The purpose of that is praising and worshipping God, which he desires. And the bible says God inhabits the praises of his people

When there's a good music minister, it can be an awesome experience. I've never found a church since calvary that it was so evident in

I love the worship leader at my church. He does a very good job of keeping all the age groups happy with the variety of worship music.

Nurse, calling people who are full gospel and the way they worship "crazy stuff" is so ridiculous and judgemental

Your type of worship is the only one that's normal? How incredibly self righteous

They're Christians too. They've just chosen a different denomination than you. Do you honestly believe that yours is the only path to God?

I'm not Pentecostal or non-denominational or whatever else

However, I respect other Christian denominations' doctrines and practices

No, not at all. The whole "speaking in tongues, dancing in the aisles" thing just always made me feel incredibly uncomfortable that is all. I went to an Assembly of God church for a few months so I was witness to it. I tried getting into it, I just couldn't. It was a great church, just not a good fit for me.

But yes, you are correct, my apologies.

I had a religion teacher speak in tongues during class.

Some kid freaked out and told his mom so she had to apologize to the class the next day

The one I mentioned earlier... from high school, I went there and people were talking in tongues and flopping around on the floor and shite. It blew my mind.

Some guy came up to me and asked if anyone had prayed for me yet. Not knowing any better I told him no. He grabbed my head and started screaming shite and shaking me. I almost punched him.

My buddy was there also and the guy asked him the same thing. My buddy just shook his head "yes" and looked at me with fear in his eyes.

We left...

Did you actually try the holy rolling stuff? Falling out, hollering and carrying on?
