I think he needs to just start with the basics, get rid of the desk and put in a couch, tv, and surround sound. That would help a lot.

Agreed. Probably doesn't even need surround sound. Rooms too small for that. I'd even be okay with the setup if it had a damn TV... People give away 32" TVs all the time. But how the hell can you have a room called a mancave without a TV?

Don't feel bad. I've got a sweet man cave that I can go to and be left alone and drink and smoke cigarettes, yeah I know i need to quit. It will get better over time. But I can't just dump a couple grand into all at once on a little side project that only benifits me and not the rest of the family.

what exactly is this room? Whats the deal with no windows? Do you even have an air vent? What controls the ac/heat?

It was a shed. It had 1 window that he added a window unit to making the only window not really a window anymore.

It was a storage room attached to my garage. It's 25x13 and I put in a window unit. I plan on adding a vent fan soon. That'll probably be the next thing I do.

No shite. There was a man cave thread and I posted a pic of mine. Even said it was in the beginning stages and still had a lot of work to do.
