I can use my short term for maternity leave though

I have it in case I hurt myself and cannot work. Already used it a couple years ago when I sprained my foot and couldn't work for a couple weeks

Why do peeps wake up at 4:10am and the first thing they do is check TD and start a GMT thread?
Maybe cause they ain't go no kids and their wife is asleep and they got nothing in life but a good breakfast and a nice quiet drive to work and they want to cheer some folks up say good mornin' and kick today in the arse with the rest of us God fearing patriots.

For a sprained foot? LOL this insurance must be expensive as hell.

Fair enough. I don't know anything about the situation so I will return to keeping my mouth shut. So they pretty much told you to stay home and they'll keep paying you until they figure out what to do with you?

The one my wife had went into effect after 30 days but dr will clear you to work after 6 weeks for a normal birth. So she got 70% of her pay starting at 30 days and ending when dr cleared her even though she took off 12 weeks

It's different as a nurse though CR

If I can't bear full weight on my feet....cannot work. HR wouldn't allow me to return until medically cleared.

If I hurt my hand, can't work....gotta be able to start IVs, etc.

That's why I have the policy. It's through my work...costs me $45 a pay period

I feel like this is a Scoobie Doo Mystery.

I am then putting in an application with this wonderful fricked up company.

It is....but necessary really as a nurse.

I mean....I could be out with the flu....if it's 7 days or more and I get all the paperwork approved from my dr....paid for by the policy.

take $45 a pay check and save it as an emergency fund instead of paying for insurance, you'll come out way ahead

I don't know how they make any money if that's all it takes for the policy to kick in effect. I'd never write a STD policy.

But of course, I don't do insurance either.

I'm guessing a pay period is monthly. Otherwise, $100 a month insurance is too expensive, I'd go with Fin's advice.

Our short term disability is free. It starts the first day and you're paid 100% for the first three months. Then 67%

No every 2 weeks

Again....I plan on using the policy as part of my maternity leave as well.

You can also use it for surgeries as well. Coworker used it when she got a boob job and was out for 6 weeks
