It is flat out silly to me that so many adults actually believe in ghosts.

Really.

I am not anti-religion by any means, but I'm assuming you're an atheist if you're saying this?

Because a ghost is a lot more believable than a God

I've had experiences I cannot explain and ghost is the closest thing to one. I'm not sure what I experienced but there is something we do not understand

Saw a group of witches in their robes walking through the LSU Agg center latte at night back in the 80’s. It wasn’t a joke and I wasn’t going to interact with them. I don’t think they were bad, but I don’t ask.

On my best days I'm agnostic... but I probably do lean atheist most of the time. Essentially, I hope there is a god and an afterlife, but I don't really put stock into it. If there is a god i don't believe he/it would damn me to eternal suffering for not understanding X, Y or Z properly.

But yeah, you are correct.

I believe in God and don't believe in ghosts. I don't believe God would make the mistake that would lead to a ghost.

The place I work at is haunted. Everyone here, including myself, have had weird shite happen.

I've had my arm grabbed and pulled back by something pretty damn strong and couldn't see. Enough to make me lose my balance and nearly fall back.

Another time, a ball of energy, about the size of a baseball, materialized out of thin air in my office, hovered for a couple of seconds, and then shot through the wall. This was witnessed by myself and two others.

On many occasions, doors slam, radios suddenly turn on or off, papers and files fly off desks, etc. We've had clients come in and freak out, saying they can see "them."

I believe you believe all of that. The mind is a hell of a drug, apparently.

“It’s actually very easy to tell if your how is haunted; it isn’t”.

I grew up with him. I think he got perma-banned for physically threatening Ice Cold on the Help Board.

Mine are pretty tame. Our house and restaurant both had ghost cats. These were witnessed by many employees. At the house we would see our cats running around and you'd see a white cat chasing them. I've seen my great grandmother walking around her house. Employees would see her walking around the restaurant as well.

My only bad experience was at our restaurant. It was 1999 and I would go to the restaurant and prep when I got out of school. I was walking up front to the bar to get a drink. I was walking through the wait station and you get to a set of swinging doors to go to the front of the house. As I'm pushing the doors I'm shoved back hard enough to throw me back the wall. I thought my cousins were playing a prank on me and no one was in the building. I locked up and left. Employees used to see an old man in our back dining room. Apparently he was not a good man (previous owner of the building). I never saw him but my guess was I encountered him that day

Four years ago, I was sleeping and someone grabbed my leg and pulled me almost off the bed. I was pissed thinking somebody was messing with me. Turned the lamp on and there was a shadow figure kneeling down a couple of feet from me. Then vanished.

They say 3:00 a.m. is the witching hour and it was around that time. Weird thing was I wasn't scared, just pissed I got woken up lol

I've got a more light-hearted version of this. Had a friend commit suicide in college. It weighed on my mind a lot leading up to the night before the funeral. In between that space of falling asleep and being asleep, I felt another hand grasp mine and hold it. No shadow, no apparition. But I still remember feeling the fingers wrapping around the outside of my palm. edit: I forgot to say how much this shocked and scared me when it first happened. I've woken up from cramps in both legs after backpacking before and my body had never reacted like this to something when I felt the handshake.

My friend who was flying home from overseas that same night to attend the funeral had our friend who died appear in his dream. It was a striking enough event mentally that he was woken up by other passengers because he had started to talk in his sleep to our friend.

He was just saying goodbye to us all before his procession into the next plane had begun.

To all the atheists out there, the soul is definitely real. Energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed. IMO, the love or strife you have in your life changes the frequency of that energy or how your soul resonates.

Had something similar happen to me. I woke up around 3 AM b/c my wife went to the bathroom. After a minute I felt someone grab my hand. Then I remembered my wife left and nobody is in bed with me. I turned and looked and this freaking zombie creature is laying next to me staring at me. I immediately sit up in bed in a panic. I realized it was just a dream and my wife is asleep next to me. Freaked me out for the rest of the night.

I agree. I never get how anyone can emphatically say ghosts or God or the afterlife are not real. Humans are limited in their ability to comprehend certain concepts and I always say in these threads that there’s a lot of shite out there that we’re just probably not meant to understand.

It seems like a lot of people see them when they are in bed or sleeping. Someone can quickly drift off then quickly wake up and then a dream feels like reality. Im not saying that's the case, I really don't know. I would think if they existed, they would be seen in random places. I never heard of anyone seeing a ghost in public places where there are a lot of people, there are just a lot of questions that surround this issue.

It could have not been real, but it was very real at the time for me.

I would think you don't see them in public places unless looking for them? I mean the figure I saw looked like an actual person. Not someone covered in a sheet or something.

I also don't really know what I believe. I don't believe in the afterlife. But have had that experience and a crazy accurate medium reading. So I just don't know.
