Got in a minor wreck (my fault) & received a ticket for improper lane usage. I have a letter from my insurance company stating that damages have been taken care of for the other party.

My court day is wednesday in STP. I hhad a ticket about 10 years ago and remember it being a clusterfrick. In jefferson parish you just walk right up to the DA's office but in St. tam I remember no such thing & I grew impatient & just paid the ticket.

Anyone have any experience? Will I have to wait until they call my name to speak to the DA or can I just go up there & ask to talk to them? 33 weeks pregnant & don't want to have to sit there all day. Thanks :)

The claims adjuster & police officer told me I would likely get out of it w/ this resolution letter, so I would like to try.

A lot of times the prosecutor will give you a break if you have a clean driving record

So I don't have to sit in court until they call my name?

You need to bring the resolution letter to court and have an attorney show it to the ADA. Either it'll be dismissed or reduced. My schedule is clear.

Tell them you identify as a male so the ticket has to be bogus.

Call the DA. Tell them you happy to pay the fine if you can keep it off your record and avoid having to take off of work.

Worked for my speeding ticket.
