First of all, he's about 4.5months old with some lllllong legs so jumping just seems natural. As much as I tell him No, down, etc, he still pushes his boundaries and likes to put his paws on things. Also, I caught him jumping out of the boat, out of my truck bed, and out of my window. I have a strong hand on him but he just doesn't seem to wanna quit. Any ideas besides choke slamming him?

Sounds like you need to beat him mercilessly

They have an extra tendon in their ankle that helps them jump higher.

I've been plenty hard on him so far, but he's not scared anymore.

Knee him in the chest when he jumps. It doesn't hurt them and they learn pretty quickly.

Tie a string from neck to nuts tighten until jumping stops.

Good fricking luck with that. I have a English Bulldog that thinks he's half kangaroo.

Also, don't give him attention when you come home. Ignore him till he calms down and if he jumps, a swift knee to the chest.

Concrete shoes helped my dog with that issue.

Part of the problem is the roommates dog who does the same thing, so no matter what I do or say to him, he's always going to think its okay when he sees her do it.

Teach your dog to sit. Command him to sit anytime he starts jumping and reward him each time. Eventually, he'll sit on his own and not even think about jumping.

If you don't make eye contact and knee him when he jumps he'll get the message. Dogs can learn anything with repetition.

When he jumps up, grad his paws and squeeze until he cries and say NO!
