Probably more space

The real trick is, define space.

Why does there have to be an "end"?

The universe is expanding. By definition, this means that at every moment, the universe is occupying an area that it previously did not. Now, I suppose we can call both the "space" within our universe and whatever it outside our universe "space" also...........but, seems like we need another term for the other side.

Just space outside our expanding universe. I don't think there's anyway that there is "nothing" beyond our expanding universe..maybe what appears to be nothing for a very, very long way. But I don't think our universe is the only universe

Well, that's all well and good. I think the idea of multiple universes seems almost a given. Alas, unless they're connected to each other, what the hell is between em?

The problem with the concept of "nothing" is, well, we humans can't even really conceive of it. I mean, even when we think we are looking at "nothing"......something is actually there.

It all just cramps the brain.

The catch is, when you get going unbelievably fast, >1% speed of light, how do you avoid hitting objects that would rip through your hull. Something the size of a marble at that speed is death.

That was my first thought

Duh. That's why they call it space.

It makes me want to throw up thinking about it. If it doesn't make you nauseous to think about it then you don't comprehend the complexity of the dilemma of nothing.

I'm saying it's dark matter that regular matter from our universe has not started to occupy space in.
