Germany and France working on AI Robot Tanks

Since the Leopard II tanks given to Ukraine have been destroyed, Germany and France figure it’s time to go Full Terminator with Robot war machines:

This didn’t even work right in Command And Conquer.
Taking out the unit giving instructions to the drone units turned them into sitting ducks.

The future of war will be interesting with everything moving to robotics. To win war, you have to kill.
If all the people operating these robots are located in their home country, you’re going to have to attack the command centers in their home country otherwise they’ll just keep making more robots.

I feel like there have been a much of movies that warn against this. I, Robot, Matrix, Terminator. Are we sure we just want to hand the keys to the kingdom to AI?

Probably not any time soon. I find modern military hardware to be rather unaesthetic. I will venture into Cold War era some. But my sweet spot is WWII era.

The new world of wars will be a battle of manufacturing bases. Seems there will be less manpower losses but each country will just be pitting their production against the other until resources run out on one side or one side is overwhelmed, or one side finds a software flaw that cant be patched soon enough.
Think of it like, end game of starcraft where you are just mass producing units with waypoints set.
