We didn't deserve George and his genius. He was the soul of The Beatles and Something is still the greatest love song ever written IMO.

Happy birthday George.

Something..

Here Comes The Sun..

When George had his mind set on something, it stayed there.

I'll give you George over John, but not Paul.

Agreed. And even John is arguable. But they were all genius in their own rights. I’ve always ranked him third, and not as a knock to him but when you’re in a group with two other legit greatest music minds in history, third isn’t too bad.

I do find George’s songs a long way behind Paul and John’s, although his best certainly stand shoulder to shoulder with them (Something, Here Comes the Sun, While my Guitar, Blue Jay Way).

Happy birthday, George. What’s crazy to me is I have no recollection of him being stabbed around 2000 or so. I was in college and feel like that’s something that would’ve registered with me, even if I wasn’t a huge Beatles fan back then. But I don’t remember that at all.

I almost forgot that he was stabbed in 2000. He died not even a year after that.

The QUIET Beatle is what I heard all the time. My Guitar Gently Weeps is and all time classic. I believe he was with the traveling willburys with Petty.

Bro the Beatles have like 5 good songs and the rest is filler that just got popular because they were famous already

Do you really think cringe like “imagine” would’ve gone anywhere if a nobody had released it?

Now I know not to take your music opinions seriously in the future.

Thanks.

And "Imagine" was a Lennon solo job, the Beatles had nothing to do w/it.

Jesus Christ

You are an idiot. The Beatles changed music in this country with how magical they were. The 1st few years it was amazing what they could put into a three min song… stop posting about music because you know very little about the subject.

Great definition of generation gap. I was a Beatle fan from 1964 and define the Willburys as George and Dylan with a coupon of other guys.

As far as who was the best Beatle, none of them would have the success they had without the others. They were all in the right place at the right time.

A lot don’t know that Paul was 19 years old when he Wrote “Yesterday”. A 19 year old should not have any idea what yesterday even means, let alone write a fantastic song about it. Simply amazing. But you are right they took advantage of timing.

Yep.

More reason that Paul is arguably the greatest songwriter who's ever lived and is our greatest living songwriter.

He is the true King.
