quote:

A former Lone Star Funds executive, who asked judges to weigh the value of “genius” in a bid to win a bigger share of a $225 million fortune than his ex-wife, lost his divorce appeal at a London court on Tuesday. Randy Work failed to convince a three-judge panel that his “special contribution” during their marriage meant he was entitled to a bigger share than the typical British practice of awarding a 50-50 division of marital assets.

quote:

Work and Mandy Gray, both American, were married for 20 years when they split. A lower-court judge said in 2015 that the multimillion-dollar estate should be equally split because while Work may have worked hard, the fortune was the result of “being in the right place at the right time, or benefiting from a period of boom,” not his professional brilliance. The appeal judges agreed saying the use "of the word genius is unhelpful," and that Work "failed to demonstrate that" the previous judge’s "decision was wrong."

Only idiots marry down. If you are that wealthy you can get laid whenever you want why would you get married

While he may have not been a genius, I'm sure she contributed a whole hell of a lot to the earning of the income...

I have to agree. Equal or greater value. Buying prostitutes from all over the world for the rest of his life and flying them in to see him wouldn't cost him that much money.

It sounds like she was the one in the right place at the right time.

Prenup doesn't do jack with assets created after marriage - after 20 yrs he's SOL. It's baffling and would be equally baffling if a female exec had to pay her ex husband say 100million in a divorce.

I wonder how bad the British child support would have been had he knocked out the kids without the marriage. Anybody know?

In Louisiana you can absolutely have a prenup keeping incomes separate during marriage.

Anything you acquire before marriage is your separate prop.

I guess her pussy was at the right place at the right time as well...

quote:

The couple, who met in the USA and have two teenage children, split up after Ms Gray had an affair with their "personal physiotherapist".

And as always, having a pussy at all in these cases is the only genius.

quote:

"A special contribution argument is unlikely to be successful where someone is simply very good at their job. The family court is careful not to discriminate against the non-wealth-creating spouse who may have made a significant contribution to family life in other ways, such as by raising the family's children.”

won't mean shite when the reaper comes, and the screams are silenced as they were in the gutters of Gomorrah, when the fires boiled the flowing blood and the wealthiest to the poor were all equal in ash..
