Everyone in Louisiana talking about the price they're getting gas at is meaningless. This pipeline runs from Houston to New England (shown in the pic below). The pipe is leaking in Shelby County which is south of Birmingham. Places east of the leak are suffering from shortages whereas people to the west (like Louisiana) are not.

You are correct. There is also a tank farm for this pipeline in the same area for product storage. The damaged line should be flowing by the end of this week if not earlier. This appears more and more like a media driven run on the pumps issue to me.

I believe as a station owner you should be allowed to charge whatever you want whenever you want.
