Yes, I do. Please dont try and make the argument we have good public schooling compared to other cities. We dont. That is a fact. Are there some good options if you test in? Yes. Is is shite compared to other cities? Yes again

For example, our true public school is Riverdale...

If you enjoy NOLA, it's worth it. Unique city, it needs more people with passion and fewer moving around the country chasing the buck.

Im not comparing anything to any other city that was you.

however, you do have some decent options whether you choose to pay a tuition or not.

's too bad New Orleans east is a section 8 crime ridden shithole, because there is so much land out there that could be developed.

Yep, the East could have been developed nicely. Plenty of land out there to do good things.

Nope. Which is why I pointed out even the suburbs have older run down housing that is still expensive with poor public schools

Yes, I am. Objectively, Nola and Jefferson parish have extremely poor public schools compared to other cities.

Sorry, it is just a fact

Or Mandeville or Slidell or Laplace or wherever else Chalmette etc...

Young people and young professionals are never going to move to "New Orleans" to live in any of those towns you mentioned.

I absolutely agree that new orleans is for some people. I can see why some love it.

But to say the hate some have only comes from jealousy is laughable to me

I don't see it in my social circles. You must hang out with blue collar types.

You've obviously lived here too long to feel that way. If you lived in a city like Houston or Atlanta recently, you'd know that the white collar market in NOLA is very depressing. The excitement around the next major headquarters moving into town is palpable in those cities. People look to jump from major corp to major corp all the time. None of that exists in Louisiana. Not to mention that I haven't heard of much regarding NOLA startups or incubators in a while. There was a buzz after Katrina, but it seems to be fizzling.

It did? I was just asking you questions and responding to your answers. What gives you that impression?

This.

The job market offers much more in Atlanta than in New Orleans. I say this as someone who lives in Atlanta and is looking to move back to south Louisiana.

I think alot of people who are from NOLA and lived here there entire life that love it, would have an eye opening experience if they moved. They would see just why the city blows

I know I am being harsh but living in Nashville for two years, you realize that the city really is just pretty horrible

I lived in Austin for 2 years and live in Nola now. I don't really prefer one to the other.

For the of things you're saying are important to you then yeah, Nola is poor. But like you said, those aren't everyone's priorities.
