A buddy and myself have an internship in Houston this summer and are looking for a 2 bedroom that's fully furnished that also will allow us to just have a 3 month lease. We've been looking hard but can't seem to find a place that provides both. We are working in the south part of Houston and would like to be close to work. Any suggestions?

Thats gonna be expensive. What is your budget? What do you mean South part of Houston? Pearland?

I did something similar when i first came to Houston for contract work. Ended up using a company called CORT. You can rent all furnishings for the whole place. Down to the blenders, spoons, and face rags. The towels and face rags are all brand new btw. It was really not expensive but i cant give you figures bc work was covering it.

They come in and set everything up and come box it up and take it when you leave. Whole ordeal was very painless.

Inn at the Ballpark. My dad's condo was there fully furnished. Ran about $4K a month though.

Yes around pearland. We were told to look in the west university place area but can't find anything. On top of that, everything we do find is corporate housing

Trust me. Ive spent a month on this search before. The furnished places are expensive. The few hundred you spend with CORT a month will be dramatically cheaper than renting a furnished apt in houston. You also get to pick your furnishings.

That is basically midtown, there are a ton of apartment complexes in that area. I'd just call around and see if they offer month to month leases on furnished apartments.

Forgot about them. Great suggestion. I had a buddy do that when he first moved down here a while back. He did that to have an instant furnished house and then when he moved down here he took his time and bought the furniture he wanted and sent the CORT back. I think he actually bought some of the stuff from CORT because he liked it.

But they would work great for this situation too.

Pay the extra money to eliminate your commute and enjoy your summer.

Houston traffic is ever changing based on daily accidents
