Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo raises money for scholarships. It's fun and fun to work for.
Most of the "gala" fundraising dinners I've been to seemed like boring wastes unless they had an open bar.

The poor kids without adults holding jugs asking for money at stop lights to pay for basketball.

Benefit fund raiser for my best friend's family, El Josey Wales, that passed away from cancer in a December of 2013. The benefit was an amazing show of humanity that touched many people's' lives that night and displayed how good of a person was lost to the terrible disease. Numerous TD posters helped raise funds for the event that will never be forgotten. Josey lost his battle the week before the event, but was smiling down on every person in the room that night.
