From your experience, how real is this trailer about fraternity rush?

Nowhere close. I joined TKE at UNO a few years ago and it was some of the funnest days and nights of my life. There was no raping or sodomizing or any of that shite at all. With that said, I'll still probably see this movie bc while he's a weird arse dude, Franco knows film (so long as Seth Rogen is nowhere near him).

there is some familiar stuff in there but by the time i got to LSU Jonathon Sanders had ended a lot of it.
It would be way more realistic to my case if it should people eating nasty stuff, cleaning actives houses and being told "we got it so much worse back in the day"

Not at all. If you give a damn about your chapter it won't do anything but get you kicked off. Not to sound like a douche, but kids these days can't take it. They are built differently and will cry just getting their asses chewed out.

I'm sure many of it will be exaggerated but some of the basic stuff looked familiar during the hazing.. They will overplay the mysterious side and partying to play to the crowd. some tragic event will occur that casts the fraternity system in a bad light.. I went through pledge ship 20+ years ago and know that much has changed.. The hazing and drinking are different and I'm glad that it is

Mine was worse than the shite they showed here. There was no hitting involved but plenty of shite that hurt (bleeding was had). A lot of throwing up, doing really gross shite, and psychological shite that made you crack. During hell week, the pledge class before us had Mambo #5 on replay and full blast the whole week at house. This was in top of not being allowed to sleep, no eating minus the breakfast of champions which ischeerios with tequila as milk, and constant hazing.
DKEs at Tulane had to choose a bone, any bone, in their body that they were going to break themselves before end of pledge. Most choose their thumb knuckle
Now to say that most fraternities operate that way? I say no way. Larger schools will have a stronger/larger Greek governing body and will suppress that type of shite.
