rench President Emmanuel Macron will visit New Orleans next week during his brief trip to the United States, becoming the first French president to travel to the once-French city in more than 45 years.

Macron is only the third French president to visit the former colony of Louisiana, after Charles de Gaulle in 1941 and Valéry Giscard d’Estaing in 1976, according to the French newspaper Le Figaro.

He will meet with Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) to discuss climate issues and is reportedly set to announce a fund to support French language education in American schools, per Le Figaro.

Macron will also take a tour of New Orleans’s famous French Quarter.

Wonder what he will think about the once thriving colonial outpost

I wonder if Teedy will let him stay at the Pontalba apartment since it’s use was supposed to be for visiting heads of state.

Just wait until he gets a whiff of that Bourbon Street/French Quarter aroma.

After living in Paris, visiting NOLA will feel trés familier to Macron.

They’ve got the Louvre with the Mona Lisa.

We’ve got a human tax-evading pit bull with no taste in art.

You’re an absolute idiot

France is a world class county. Paris is a center of human culture and heritage. It is refined and adored throughout the world for its beauty. France is a bastion country of the EU.

New Orleans is a city that pretends to be French. It holds on to this identity so tightly that to an actual French person it’s going to seem pathetic. Even more so because this city is as unrefined as you can be. Sure it has history. Sure it has some of the oldest architecture in the county (which is nothing compared to European history).

But it is essentially a third world city. Trash that doesn’t get picked up. Criminals that don’t get locked up. Streets that don’t get fixed up. It’s a crumbling mess of infrastructure that props itself up as a fun place to go to get black out wasted and puke in the street.

Oh and it’s mayor is an absolute swindling carpetbagger nasty illiterate fat ugly bitch.

Macron will want to shower after his tour of the city.

Tell me I’m wrong

Outside of the uptown bubble

Most of New Orleans does not feel like you are in a self well sustained city

There are gun battles in broad daylight
