Figured special forces were above this

Is it safe for him to reveal his identity?

It'll probably be one of those voice-altered dark room interviews.

Article sounds like he'll identify himself, but I can't really tell. Fox isn't promoting it yet, but I'm sure Daily Caller has legit sources at Fox News.

I mean, if you were the guy who did it and you get out of DEVGRU, you're leaving a ton of money on the table by not coming forward.

I thought Obama said that he was the responsible one.

Agree but he knew the score before he signed up.

If I was the interviewer, I'd ask him to prove he was the shooter.

There is a FNC news release attached to the article that says he will be identified. It's not a huge secret anyway. I have seen a couple of articles that allude to his identity. For that matter, there was another guy who came out previously and said he was the guy but it turned out he was the second.

I am more interested in his accounts of the rest of the mission. That should be something to hear.

For those who haven't seen the video.

Yeah I'm not saying it is right or wrong, but the mystique of getting your name out there will probably wane to some extent. Given that this wasn't really a personal accomplishment, I would hope that if he does cash in, it will be shared/used for special operations causes.

I don't mind getting the first hand accounts but I wish it would be done with anonymity. I wish the best to their families and hope nothing bad happens due to publicity from this.

Wounded Warrior Foundation

I'm just skeptical about all of these operators coming out saying they did this and that when they signed NDAs that says they can't talk about what they did to anyone who doesn't have the proper clearance and need to know.

I'm not sure it is Matt Bissonette

It was not Bissonette. The shooter was the subject of a very controversial GQ or Esquire article in which he claimed that he did not get health coverage when he left the navy and was broke, etc. Many of his claims were completely false.

If he were a true US servant and loyal to the military, he'd shut up instead of basking in this glory and fame

Matt Bisonette wrote in No Easy Day that they wouldn't even tell the President when he asked which one killed Osama, and they would keep it that way, because it was a team effort.

Sounds gross, but I just want to see the pics of dead bin Laden already. Don't really care who shot him.
