This was a business decision for the shop.
It's not good business to have fat people being shamed in a DOUGHNUT shop. Though she may have denied it before, the woman whom the kid questioned now realizes that she is so fat that kids think she has a baby growing inside her belly. What's the first think that goes once you accept that you're too fat? Trips to the doughnut shop, that's what!!
Hats off to the owners for having the forethought to see that an inquisitive 4-year old calling people fat does not help return business.
