A newly formed environmental division of Bernhard Capital Partners is making deals again, this time purchasing BEM Systems Inc., a New Jersey environmental engineering and software firm.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

A Bernhard Capital news release said the deal would expand the reach of the division, known as Environmental Systems Group, into the northeast United States as well as Alaska.

Bernhard Capital, led by former Shaw Group leader Jim Bernhard, created Environmental Systems Group in July after it acquired KC Harvey Environmental, a natural resources consulting firm based in Bozeman, Montana. The company also recently purchased a New Hampshire company that specializes in project management and technical services for nuclear power facilities.

APTIM moved to one of the buildings at The Water Campus downtown. So I guess there's at least 5-6 floors available.

The old Shaw building is nice, although it probably needs work by now.

APTIM is actually the old Shaw company acquired and spun off several times

Bernhard also has EPIC Piping in Livingston. He’s got a lot of companies that make good money around here

Yep. He went all in with the quickness on buying it forming companies to work the petrochemical industry 5 or so years ago. Probably went to fast with some of that stuff. Epic struggled with production and some quality stuff their first year.
He also stood up a few specialty turnaround companies and thought he was going to walk in and just take business from everyone else. He spent some good money to get some VP folks from Turner and a few other companies. It didn’t go as planned at first

If Pelosi’s husband is invested in it, I’m in. He’s a financial genius.

It’s a shell game. He as an investor builds up via acquisition and then will sell these things off after 3-5 years claiming growth.
