For the people that get fever blisters......

This is the prime time for f.b. to erupt. If you are smart and have the pills - zovirax or equivalent keep them handy. If you take the pills within 3 hours of feeling the first blisters (itching, tingling) it will stop the viral reproduction and the eruption will not happen. If you only have the cream, I suggest you apply some to hopefully prevent them. The first days of semi-hot weather are usually what causes them to appear in people that are outside a lot.

Is it weird that I've never had a fever blister on my lips ever before? I only get them very rarely under my nose after a cold where I would blow my nose too much and it gets a little raw. I'd rather get them on my lips fwiw....

I get them occasionally due to extreme stress and I hate those evil things.

Join the club - only on my nose, gross as crap but I havent had any in years, thanks to my doc that prescribed the medicine and I use it within a couple of hours. Actually hadnt had any at all in about 2 years now.

Hsv1 (oral) infects over 53% of US population b/w the ages of 12 -50. It can however show up down there. HSV 2 is the genital type even that as well can pop up orally....kind of confusing, but in a nutshell the only way to know for sure is get a test. HSV 1 is more begnin

Canker/ulcer sores are worse .
