For any history buffs I've found a goldmine of reading

It's a reddit subforum so if that turns you off just letting you know. I used to hate the layout of the site and still not a big fan (certainly don't understand how that particular forum layout became the most popular forum on the internet), but this one subforum is great reading.

It's called AskHistorians (the link is sorted by top / all time) and is heavily moderated so the quality of the responses are good. I browsed through it reading mostly WWII stuff and got sucked in like I do Wikipedia.
Example: Why did Hitler not invade Switzerland, the whole thread is great reading
Anywhom just an fyi for those that like reading stuff like that and if not that's ok too.

They should, I'm not sure what part you are looking at. In the first link I filtered it for the top threads and put the date range as all time, so all of them that I see have a lot of responses. Maybe when you clicked it didn't keep those filters in place, in which case you're just seeing the newer threads.
