Just curious...up vote if you typically get one each year, down vote if you almost never get one.

Maybe give your opinion/thoughts on why or why not.

I know a lot of people do, but I never have, at least not since I was a child if any. I never really get sick, not with anything major at least. First time I've ever had the flu was last year and it only lasted a couple days. Never once was I really miserable through it though, so I probably won't change my ways. However, I am curious where the OT stands on this.

People who over think flu shots are on the verge of quackery.

Yup. Vaccines and antibiotics are major proof the government is out to get us.

A guy at my office said he heard people die from the flu shot. Apparently you don't have to do too much critical thinking to get a masters in engineering.

On that note, I don't know if anyone has died, but it's not uncommon to still get the flu after someone has been vaccinated.

I work with a lot of elderly people, so we are encouraged to get the shot.

People do die from the flu shot. Not a lot but it happens.

You know he is crazy because he got a masters in engineering and didn't stay in academia. That is the only reason to get a masters in engineering.

You sure you didn't mean to say they died from an underlying immune issue and someone blamed the shot instead?

Getting my first one ever this year
Only because my wife is pregnant and the doctor highly recommends we both have it for the baby's sake

No, and i work in healthcare. Its almost never the same strand they vaccinate you for so you are wasting your time. Any honest doctor or nurse will tell you the same.

Don't forget that TDAP while you're at it. Congrats on the baby.

That is the case where I work. I figure when I'm 55+, then maybe I will get my annual dosage of sweet government issued nectar.

Darth Vader said he got the flu shot at a CVS in Jasper, AL last year and caught a serious bad case of autism.
