I am not getting into this mfering vaccine war shite, but if you typically get a flu shot or at high risk, now is apparently the time at least on the Alabama Gulf Coast area. I usually get in September but didn’t this year and paying the fricking price now. My doctor told me it’s all over the place here right now, defer to those in medical profession who would know in other areas, but since we are port city and cruising the coast is going on on Mississippi Coast next door if it’s here now it will spread

You mean when seasons change and people get sick? Don't think I need a vaccine for that.

Currently dealing with the worst flu I've had in years. No sore throat or stomach issues, just fever, aches, and shivering.

The flu is early every year. Funny how it can do that.

Well, that and being outdoors absorbing vitamin D are the best ways to boost one's immune system and that's the best way to fend off viruses.

Uh, yes. Exercise and a healthy diet boosts the immune system.

I'm definitely not saying don't get the flu vaccine if you're older/at risk/just want to, but to pretend that healthy lifestyle isn't armor against illness is wilfully ignorant or worse.

Not always, but it combined with my naturally strong immune system minimizes the effects. FWIW, I’ve never had a flu shot and never had the flu. At least nothing that exceeded more than a 1-2 day cold that I dealt with like a mature adult.
