Got word last week I will be moving to Tampa in a month or two. I would like some help if you please.

1st: do any of you have any insight to prefab homes in the area? Which home builder to avoid? looking for when we buy, just can't find too many reviews online.
2nd: is there an LSU alum assoc. in the Tampa area?
3rd: Need some outdoor things to do on weekends not associated with golf or local sports teams.

You mean homes on wheels? I'd wait and ask locals once you arrive.

Let's hope not. They're heathens.

Festivals, obviously rotate continuously, have to check once there. Lot of bike trails, lakes, the bay, ocean close by, Orlando not too far away, Ybor City, USF sluts, SCUBA, boating, theme parks (Busch Gardens I think).

You should learn to fly. Central Florida is home to tons of flight training because of the great weather.

Where in Tampa? I'd avoid living in Tampa. Try to live in St. Pete or Clearwater if you can.

So the OP asks for help with a home and activities as he just moves into a new city and your advice is to learn to fly??

...and Florida is not known for its great weather...in fact, it is the lightning capital of the world, and known for severe thunderstorms. The Florida/LSU game this yearwas cancelled due to a hurricane threat.

Work is paying for my rent for 6 months so I can find a house to buy. Was mostly asking to see if anyone has info on builders in these planned development neighborhoods around the Tampa area

Not an option...office is on Causway on east side of bay, looking more on that side of Tampa

Wut?

Weather is awesome, especially this time of year. Unless you don't like doing things outside for some reason.
