My house is dry, but my toilet wont flush no matter how much I plunger it. I know little about plumbing. Is this flood related? If it is could you explain?
Thanks
Thanks

The water has no where to go. Piss outside. shite in a bag. It could be a lot worse.

You have a modad? If you have a backflow preventer closed and high water it could fill up.

The loft stations are backed up. Your plumbing drains to a city sewer line running in the street. That line goes to a sump where it's collected and pumped to a city wastewater treatment plant.
Those pumps are likely overwhelmed by inflow and infiltration of stormwater. Therefore your main sewer line is probably charged with water. So your home's sewer line has nowhere to drain. It's likely charged with water as well.

Water in flooded houses is probably flowing into their sink and tub drains, completely overworking your local sewer system. Any cracks in the pipes are probably also allowing floodwater to seep into the local system. In short, there is no available space for your toilet/shower/sink/washing machine/dishwasher water. Just count your blessings that you are not having all of that excess water from the lines backflowing sewage into your tub, etc.
