This came up in my news feed. You'll probably need Facebook to view the post and pictures. This kind of stuff is happening way more than it should. Wth is going on down there?

quote:

2nd day of school in Denham Springs. Ridiculous. One year after the Aug. 2016 flood that wrecked 90% of the homes in this community and this is what teachers and students are dealing with. This water is from rain runoff that won't drain properly because government will not adequately address the issue. Culverts, drains, ditches need to be deeply cleaned of debris from last year. The solution will be expensive and long-term but this is unacceptable.

Flash floods can do this just about anywhere. It's not due to drainage being clogged up.

This flood is a serious obstacle to teacher-student sex scandals.

Somebody tell those dumb bitches to grab mops and buckets and save the brooms for when it's dry.

man Jonathan Nethery brings the heat!

Jonathan Nethery And we'll hear from the government that we need to raise taxes in order to make the necessary changes. Here's my question, what were all of the taxes that we were already paying going towards? Obviously not in the right place.

My daughter attends that school. Luckily it happened towards the end of the school day, and thanks to the faculty going above & beyond their job expectations, today was a nice, regular day at school. I understand it's funny to joke about the situation, but we've all been through a ton of shite over the past year. A little sympathy, maybe a prayer, would be appreciated.

That flood at the Denham school was the result of a 40 minute downfall...drainage is definitely messed up
